Primary All Class One to Five Short Syllabus 2021. Government plans to shorten the syllabus for primary students. Primary School Exam Question Pattern and Marks Distribution latest have been finalized by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) with the help of the National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE) for the upcoming Primary Education All Class One to Five Short Syllabus 2021.

As the coronavirus pandemic has been badly affecting academic activities with uncertainty over the reopening of schools, the government is planning to shorten the syllabus for primary students.

Government Plans to Shorten Syllabus for Primary Students

The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) and The National Academy of Primary Education (NAPE) are working to slash the primary syllabus if the schools reopen in September. NAPE and DPE are preparing a short syllabus keeping in mind important chapters and class-based basic competencies of the students.

“We are working on the issue. We have asked DPE and NAPE to prepare a short syllabus, after calculating how many classes a student can get if the school reopens in September,” Primary and Mass Education State Minister Zakir Hossein said” while talking at a webinar organized by Education Reporters Association of Bangladesh on the challenge of Covid-19 on primary education, also said that DPE and NAPE are working on how the Primary Education Completion and other final exams can be taken. As the government extended the closure of all educational institutions, which have been closed since March 17, 2020, until now as a preventive measure against the further spread of the novel coronavirus Pandemic. For this reason, the NAPE and DPE were asked to emphasize taking measures so that any student can achieve class-based fundamental competence, and identify the important chapters that have a correlation with topics of the next classes while preparing a short syllabus.

Many guardians were worried about how the Primary Education for Class One to Class Five (1-5) students and other final exams will be taken as the pandemic ate up more than one year of the academic year. Educational activities of about 1.5 crore primary students are being hampered due to the coronavirus crisis. The pandemic has also caused a delay in holding all exams of primary schools. The government has suspended the primary education examinations and equivalent examinations this year due to the coronavirus epidemic situation.

Although, the ministry started broadcasting lessons for school students on Bangladesh Betar (radio) and Sangsad Bangladesh Television. However, many students are not attending classes due to a lack of access to digital devices, costly internet packages, and poor internet connections. Also, a large number of households do not have televisions. Think of many more the government plans to shorten the syllabus of the primary schools to evaluate the performance of the students affected by the corona situation in the country. The students will be evaluated by shortening the primary syllabus whenever the educational institution reopens.

Primary Education Completion Syllabus, Question Pattern & Marks Distribution Finalized

Primary Education Completion (PEC) Examination of 2021. PEC Exam Syllabus, Question Pattern, and Marks Distribution Structure have been finalized by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (MOPME), Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), National Curriculum & Textbook Board, National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE), field officers and teachers. Competency-based question 100% and no question will be made on the traditional method.

There is a total of six subjects in the Primary Education Completion Examination National curriculum in Bangladesh. They are Bangla, English, Mathematics, Primary Science, Bangladesh, and World Introduce and Religion.
