The Directorate of Secondary & Higher Education (DSHE dshe.gov.bd) has been published Class Six to Nine (6-9) Annual & Class Ten (10) Prac Selection Exam Routine 2021 with Syllabus, Exam Subject, Mark Distribution, Question pattern, time allocation for each subject. It is noticed that these exams will be held in 3 subjects. These subjects are 1. Bangla. 2. English & 3. Mathematics. The exam will be taken from 24 November to 30 November 2021. NCTB preparing the brief syllabus for over 1 crore students.

Class Six to Ten Syllabus Marks Distribution Question Pattern 2021. At the briefing, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) had already prepared a brief syllabus for the class 6-10 students in schools and madrasas so that they could achieve the minimum learning outcome. Assignments would be given to the student every week to identify their learning shortcomings. “The assessment method will help to understand the weaknesses of the students and tackle them. The assessment will not have any impact on their promotion to the next classes,” she added.
Students will be able to get and submit the assignments to their teachers online or individually, following proper health guidelines. Assignments Class for Six-Ten Students Start on November 01, 2020
The government set up the process to start assignment classes for the students of classes 6 to 9 from 1st November 2020 in the absence of annual examinations. The assignments will be given to school and madrasa students every week to identify students’ learning shortcomings so that authorities can take corrective steps in those areas, said Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) officials.

According to the academic calendar, Six to Nine (6-9) Class annual exams were scheduled to be held between November 28 and December 10. Before the announcement, students and guardians all over the country were confused about the process of promotion to higher classes as schools and madrasas have been shut for more than seven months due to the Global Corona Virus pandemic COVID-19. The government had already announced that the closure was extended until October 31.

Officials said the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) had already prepared a brief syllabus for students of classes 6-9 so they can achieve the minimum learning outcomes. Students will be able to receive and submit assignments online or individually, following proper health guidelines. Students can also get assignments through TV classes and on educational websites.
NCTB and DSHE Joint Briefing
Asking about the assignments, NCTB Chairman Professor Narayan Chandra Saha said students would have to answer questions based on what they learned in a particular week. “The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education will upload information on the assignment method on its website http://dshe.gov.bd soon he said.
“We are all set to start the process of giving and taking assignments from November 01, 2020” DSHE Director General Professor Syed Md Golam Faruk said. He added all teachers and officials concerned will be notified about the process. “We will also upload the assignment process on our website before November 01, 2020” he also added, while talking to this briefing.
DSHE Secondary Director Belal Hossain said they are working closely with NCTB on the assignments. Students would have to answer short questions, board questions, and creative questions based on what they learned in a particular week. “We will ensure that this assignment does not create any kind of pressure on students,” he said.
There are about 1.05 crore students in class VI-IX across the country, among them, about 87.32 lakh are in schools and the rest in madrasas according to the Bangladesh Bureau of Education and Statistics (BANBEIS),

During Wednesday’s press conference, Dipu Moni said students who have been displaced due to the pandemic will be able to collect and submit assignments from nearby educational institutions. She also said no one will be allowed to take any kind of test during this assignment process.
